As we watched the video today, I was thinking about what a special man this dad is to sacrifice so much for his son. I began thinking about the type of person he must be. Then I began to think what would this world be like if we were all that way. Or even if we each had one person in our lives that was like this. What if I was this type of person? How would be relationships with others be different? What would it feel like to be the type of person that loved so selflessly? What are your thoughts about this?

ReplyDeleteThat was touching. I think that we that can talk and walk we should enjoy it as much as possible. When we play sports we should have good sportsmanship. When we have to do chores we should do them and enjoy them at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI think that the dad is not selfish at all. I think that if everyone in the world was this way, the world would be really different. I think that being that kind of a person would be wonderful. I think that I would always feel good if I was like that. I like this video because you can see how the father must feel about his son. I think after you see all the bad things going on in the world today, it makes you feel happy to see how much love this father has for his son. I wish that everybody could be like this in the world.
ReplyDeleteI think that it might compare to are lives today by how sometimes we struggle and how he kind of struggles through races to get to the end of the race. If we were all like that dad I think that it would be a really good world out there. Everyone would always be so kind to each other and help each other out. Even if some of us would just be like him it would make us all better people by a little bit. I know that if I was even that person I would become a better person and I couldn't imagine how that could change other people around the world so I think that we should all just try a little better to be better. So that is what I think how we do and can relate to this dad.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice of his dad to help his son with everything without even wining about it, because he was very sad that his son can't talk or walk, or do anything by himself. It was nice of his dad to not yell at him and make his life very miserable.

ReplyDeleteIf we all were like that I think the world would be a wonderful place. If that happen'd to me and my dad did that to me I would always remind him that I loved him and that I was am grateful for everything he did for me. Everyday I would tell my dad that I thought he was a True Hero. If he did everything to help me be happy I would try to make him feel that way to. If I had a child like that I would try to be the best I can be to him. I would do everything you would do with a normal person, and I would try to make him happy.

ReplyDeleteI Learned that being different does not matter and that it's in your determanation and your heart. It's about what your going to do in your life and how you're going to do it. I feel bad for the kid and I understand how he feels.
ReplyDeleteI feel really sad because he can't walk or talk and his dad really care about his son he takes him with him to the races and he would run with him he would do everything to make him as happy he loves his son so much he would take his son every were with him antill he fond his voice a something that they made he now lives in his on place they sent them masages to them they watch viode he was a nice to his son it looks like he never wanted to leave him alone by his son he is a nice man.

ReplyDeleteI think that it would be hard to push somebody around in a race like that.And I don't think that Team Hoyt would be very good and I would be really surprised if Team Hoyt won first place in their first race.I think I would give up after five minutes of pushing someone around in a race.Maybe not even five maybe just two!!!

ReplyDeletea good sport man ship and if I was that guy I would not like it in a wheel chair when I am in a sport and my dad would have to push while he is running in a race and I would be in a wheel chair for a long time.
I think no one should think rick as a different person just because cant talk normal and he cant walk.
ReplyDeleteI think that guy loves his son so much that they have a bond that nobody could break their bond of love can never be broken.I think that this guy can make a guy or women make their children or child feel way more loved than they could possible imagine.
